For the first lesson all people need is shorts/t-shirt or 'track suit' and some enthusiasm. We prefer if you pay by the month and there is a discount for doing so. After a couple of lessons you will need to pay for a licence (membership, grading record book and insurance). Taekwon-do suits are normally bought after the third or fourth lesson.
